Is Sheepskin safe for babies?

We ensure that our Naturally Sheepskins shorn pramliners and baby rugs are safe for babies from birth....

  1. Our sheepskins are sourced ethically and sustainably from the finest quality wool. These natural products undergo rigorous independent testing to ensure their safety and suitability for your child's use.
  2. All our sheepskins are Oeko-Tex certified and compliant with EU REACH standards. This certification guarantees that our products are free from harmful chemicals, including formaldehyde, azo dyes, and chrome IV, making them safe and suitable for you and your child.
  3. Our pram liners are designed for universal fit and have been tried and tested in various prams, strollers, buggies and joggers. They can also be used in bassinets, moses baskets and bouncers. It is essential to follow product-specific instructions for proper use.
  4. While our pram liners offer versatile applications, we do not recommend using them in car seats while driving due to associated safety risks.
  5. Our shorn baby rugs and pram liners have been crafted with the utmost care. The wool's short length (ca. 25-28mm) makes them safe for use from newborn age onwards.
  6. We do not recommend using our longer midi-wool length pram liners until your child is 6 months old.
  7. Shedding is a natural characteristic of sheepskin products. To minimize loose fibres, we recommend regular shaking and brushing.
  8. It is important to note that sheepskin is breathable and thermostatic, assisting in regulating your baby's body temperature. This feature makes our sheepskin products suitable for year-round use.
  9. For your child's safety, we emphasize that sheepskin should not be used as a sleeping surface without adult supervision. If your child is under 12 months of age, we recommend covering their sheepskin with a fitted sheet. Please follow safe sleep guidelines.
